California Marching Band Girl Beats Back Muggers With Baton

That’s what California authorities are saying after a 17-year-old girl used her marching band baton to beat back two would-be muggers.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Michael Rust says the Quartz Hill girl was walking to school April 24 when two men approached her from behind, tried to grab her coat and demanded money.

Instead, one got a punch in the nose and the other a kick to the groin. Rust says the girl then beat both of them with her band baton before she ran away.

The men had not been caught. But Rust says there’s a clear message to take from the encounter:

“The moral to this story is don’t mess with the marching band girls, or you just might get what you deserve. Final score: marching band 2, thugs 0.”

Church Security Incident-Three men burst into two seperate churches this past Sunday yelling, “God is dead!” The incident caused a disruption and they were escorted out by church members.

It was a situation that caused fear for church members.

Shreveport Police say the man first ran into the Heritage Baptist Church at Kirby Street and Creswell Avenue, yelling ‘God is dead,’ and a few other things, before getting escorted out.

“I thought it was humorous in the sense that if there’s no God why spend so much of your time trying to disprove that which doesn’t exist,” said Heritage Baptist Church Pastor Earl Blackburn.

The suspects repeated the offense again just a mile away at First Baptist Church of Shreveport.

“It was right in the middle of service. He just came in and started screaming about God isn’t real and it’s all fake, it’s all a lie,” said church member Michael Morales.

from http://churchsecuritymember.com/

By the way, do you know that in Georgia it is not legal for lawful gun owners to have a gun in church? Criminals and other disturbed individuals know this but usually don’t care much for the law!
