What more can you want:
- Married twenty years
- Mother of 5 (the last one was born while in office)
- Pro-life
- Governor
- NRA member and hunter
- Wants to drill anywhere there is oil — including ANWR
and here is some more info from an email, titled “McCain’s Dangerous Choice” I got from Moveon.org (with my remarks in parenthesis):
- She was elected Alaska’s governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience. (actively governing a state gives more experience than being a ‘community organizer’ and being elected a do-nothing senator)
- Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest. (yeah! In the case of rape or incest tell me again what the unborn child did to qualify for capital punishment? How about we execute the rapist and find a good home for the baby … huh?)
- She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. (problem with that?)
- Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools. (give children a rounded education - they can handle the truth unlike some with anti-God agendas)
- She’s doesn’t think humans are the cause of climate change. (duh!)
- She’s solidly in line with John McCain’s “Big Oil first” energy policy. She’s pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won’t be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska. (how about Palin for president w/McCain for VP)
