The difference between the most ignorant and the most educated Christian is infinitely small compared to the vastness of God. For us to disparage our less informed brothers is to deny the grace by which we are called. God doesn’t bless us because we are theologically correct, better educated, etc. - but by grace alone. And we are grateful that God is gracious and not just!
“As the heavens are higher than the
earth, so are my ways higher than your
ways and my thoughts than your
thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
In context this verse in Isaiah tells us that the Lord is not like us … we are by nature hard, judgmental, and unforgiving. But the Lord is merciful!
